October is such an exciting time for the boys as Halloween is a big celebration here in Ireland. With this, I am so excited to share with you our Halloween Early Literacy printable pack which we will be using for the entire month of October. I designed this material specifically for Vito and suitable for ages 2.5 to 4years old. Come take a look!
Beginning Sound Clipcard. Vito loved our autumn-themed clipcards, he learned a lot of vocabulary words from it, was able to practise his fine motor skills by using pegs and most definitely, improved his phonics!
Matching letters. Another activity that Vito loves, matching letters using dot stickers. We have an autumn-themed version of this which Vito enjoyed working so I retained this activity for this month.
Spelling. Something new! For his age (35 months), this is more on copying and forming letters, similar to the the See and Spell of Melissa and Doug. We are using magnetic letters here, but you can you use any that’s available like Scrabble tiles, printed letters or movable letters (Montessori).
Halloween Costume Puzzle. Oh these are so cute! Vito keeps on asking “Mommy, what’s that?”. The only image that he can identify is the pirate! I provided a blank copy wherein you can cut the images in anyway you like so can either have 3 or 4 pieces puzzle.
Pumpkin Life Cycle. For science, we’ll explore the life cycle of a pumpkin! Last month, we learned about the life cycle of an apple, and because we’ll be carving pumpkins this month, I decided that we’ll take a look at pumpkins this October!
These and more in our Halloween Early Literacy Preschool Pack! Click images below for more details:
