Learning About Sharks for Kids
Tuesday, February 19, 2019
Vito has been really interested in sharks lately. We had some Shark Unit Study (Montessori Inspired Shark Study for Kids) years ago together with my eldest, but Vito was so young then that all he could ever do was do some simple matching activity with our Safari Toob Sharks. Now that he's a bit older, I prepared some simple activities for him to learn more about sharks, what's their difference with whales, and how similar are they to humans.

Asia Continent Study for Kids
Monday, February 11, 2019
We love to travel and going to places, thus geography is very important in our homeschool and I make sure that we do continent and country studies yearly. Now, this is not the first time I introduced Vito to Asia. We've worked with a lot of continent activities before and because he is much older now and able to understand and grasp concepts, I reintroduced Asia once again. Below are some of the works we had for the past 2 weeks we spent on learning about Asia. It took us 2 weeks to finish because he got sick within the time frame so we paused in between.
Here are some of the activities that we included in this year's Asia Study:
Valentine's Day Letter and Number Cards
Friday, February 8, 2019
What I like about homeschooling is being able to make themed materials for my kids that will go along with certain seasons or holidays. Because Valentine's Day is just around the corner, I made these beautiful and cute teddy and heart letter and number cards perfect for home and school settings. We use these types of learning cards in so many ways, and I have listed a few of those activities below for your reference. Enjoy!

Chinese New Year Mini Preschool Unit
Tuesday, January 22, 2019
Are you celebrating Chinese New Year? We are learning about this Chinese national holiday for familiarity and for the boys to understand that some Filipino traditions were adapted from Chinese culture.
Vito and I worked on a brief Chinese New Year Unit last week. The resources we used were from the Chinese New Year Mini Preschool Learning Pack I created for him years ago.

Our Montessori-Inspired Shelf for Winter
Tuesday, January 15, 2019
I’m back after a few weeks of hiatus! I’ve been focusing more in our homeschool that I didn’t have time to write a post about our activities for the past 2 weeks. Anyway, here’s the shelf that I've setup weeks ago and the main theme for this setup is “winter”. This year, we’ll be doing small study units for science and culture but we will work our way thoroughly (taking our time) in reading, writing, and math.

If you love themed activities, you will surely love these winter counting printable activities we have in the shop. These materials promote hands-on mathematics and enable children to practice writing and do some fine motor skill works.
Ten Frames
Vito enjoys these “scenic” ten frames as I often call them. Currently, we have 3 different beautiful designs that can go along with any of your winter themes. Here Vito is working on our kids winter themed ten frames. He was disappointed that it didn’t snow here last Christmas so I gave him a few snowy themed activities. There are two types of activities included in our one to ten counting ten frames.Using the Four Seasons Addition Clipcards

Thanksgiving Pattern Blocks Spin and Build
Sunday, November 11, 2018
Here’s an activity that Vito and I enjoyed playing together lately. It is an extension work for our Thanksgiving Preschool Unit where we integrate math (shapes) to Thanksgiving symbols and icons. We call this activity Spin and Build because we spin the spinner for the shapes we will be using to form the puzzle.
Fun Thermometer Reading in Space
Thursday, November 1, 2018
Vito loved our penguin thermometer reading activity , and because of this, I have to include something similar in our Outerspace Preschool Mini Unit. This is great for learning how to recognize “tens” and how to read a thermometer.
Christmas Themed Counting Activities

Can you believe that it’s Christmas time in less than 2 months? With this holiday season coming, I’d like to share this fun Christmas tree decorating and counting activity. I made this last year but didn’t make it to the blog and shop. The boys had so much fun putting “decors” into their tree with playdough. You might want to check this out.
Seasonal Pattern Blocks Mats (with FREE Download)
Friday, October 19, 2018
I am so excited to share the latest craze in our house lately, the pattern block mats! I made these printable materials because my boys are totally obsessed with making “pictures” and objects using our pattern blocks (bought from Amazon). We own this and the magnetic version since Vito was a baby but the boys’ needs keep growing and I decided to provide them with picture mats so they can create not just plain pattern block objects but objects that integrate in beautiful backgrounds for a more imaginative play. The best thing about this printable is that we can print and reuse them over and over again!
