We are loving this educational board game! I chanced upon this in a local bookstore, and hesitated to get one though I know Mavi will love it as he enjoys geography activities. Then one day, while I was looking for Christmas presents in Amazon, some BrainBox sets were on 50% off including this World edition. I purchased it right away and anticipated for days so Mavi and I can play the game as I was sick and couldn’t do any physical activities.
It is one of my best buys this year! I showed it right away to Mavi and we started playing. It’s a combination of an education and memory game. The mechanics: study the card for 10 seconds, and then answer the question based on the number rolled on a die. If you answer the question correctly, you get to keep the card. The person with the most number of cards in 10 minutes wins the game.
I love the cards! They are beautifully illustrated, they’re thick… cardboard material and with so much information.
My boy is obsessed! He wants to play with it everyday!
And because we fell in love with our first purchase, I ordered a few more and they were still on sale! Mavi who is obsessed with dinosaurs will totally freak out if he sees this! I can see that we’ll be very busy this holiday break playing this three games! (other one we purchased was Nature). I love that it is inexpensive, has educational value and the kids enjoy it more than any of the board games we own.
Again, I love this game. Because I am not able to do any activities with the boys lately, this board game has helped a lot in entertaining not just my eldest, but my Vito as well who loves to play with the timer.
Now I am eyeing a few more sets for future purchase and I can’t wait to try them all!
