St. Patrick's Day Pattern Blocks Activity

Here’s an activity that you might want to try for March!  St. Patrick's Day Pattern Blocks Spin and Build, where you integrate math (shapes) to St. Patrick's Day symbols and icons.    Using the mats, you spin the spinner for the shapes that you will be using to form the puzzle.

We are using the wooden 1cm Pattern Blocks from Learning Resources.  I love this better than the plastic version because the wooden blocks don't slip from the paper mat.

The pack comes with three levels of difficulty:  colored template, outline template and a blank template.

Below you will find samples of the three levels:

And the last level, which is perfect for my older kid, is a blank picture puzzle and the child needs to use his/her imagination to form the puzzle pieces that resulted from a spin.

There are 10 pattern block puzzles included in our pack, each with 3 levels of difficulty.

Also available on TPT

Pin this for later!
