STEM Toy Learning Optics with Laser Maze Logic Game

 

The boys are crazy over this Laser Maze Logic Game.  I came across this logic STEM toy while I was scouting for learning materials for Mavi’s “optics” activity.   Mavi loves solving the problems in the task cards and Vito on the other hand is fascinated by the effect of the laser light on the target. 

Laser Maze Logic Game is a game that uses laser light to lit the intended target.  The player/s needs to reflect or split the laser beam using mirrors and tokens on a logic grid to reach the goal. 

 

There are 60 task cards (challenges) for you to solve and they are categorized into:  beginner, advanced, intermediate and expert.  It also comes with a guide, illustrating how each token works.

For a closer look, here’s a preview of what the card looks like.  It’s pretty simple, it will give you the number of targets, the kind of token to add and the placement of the tokens in the logic grid.

With a lot of trial and error, Mavi was able to understand how the light travels from one token to another and get the logic right.  You can watch his video here to see the actual game. I love that he’s able to analyse the path of the laser beam right after he completed his work. As for Vito, he loves playing with the laser beam and lighting up the target.

The logic game is really good and challenging.  Not only did Mavi enjoyed this, but both husband and I as well!
