Christmas Pattern Blocks Spin and Build

Here’s an activity that your kids will absolute enjoy playing!  Christmas Pattern Blocks Spin and Build, where you integrate math (shapes) to Christmas symbols and icons.  This a shape pattern blocks activity with a twist!  Using the mats, you spin the spinner for the shapes that you will be using to form the puzzle.

 

We are using the wooden 1cm Pattern Blocks from Learning Resources.  I love this better than the plastic version because the wooden blocks doesn't slip from the paper mat.  The pack comes with three levels of difficulty:  colored template, outline template and a blank template.

And the last level, which is perfect for my older kid, is a blank picture puzzle and the child needs to use his/her imagination to form the puzzle pieces that resulted from a spin.
