Beleduc Boy Body Puzzle

Saturday, April 30, 2016

One of my best finds this year is this absolutely amazing learning material from Beleduc.  Just like Grimm and Shleich, Beleduc is a German company that produces high quality wooden learning materials that are designed for kids of all ages.  I absolutely love this puzzle because for Vito, he is just playing a game but little did he know that he is actually learning!

Like any other parents, it is difficult to start introducing the human body and all the body systems to a toddler.  Although they are aware of their body and its basic parts… it would be nice to introduce the other parts and system to the little ones for exploration.  I’ve seen so many puzzles and printables but none of which has really caught my attention, until I saw Beleduc Puzzle from an old blog that I used to follow (it’s deactivated now).  And since then, I’ve been searching for it in Amazon and waiting for the sale!

There are so many reasons why I love this puzzle. To name a few, (1)  layered boy body puzzle is a  child-oriented presentation of the structure of the human body with five layers: skeleton, organs, muscles, naked body and dressed body. The image in the puzzle is simple and very attractive to girls and boys.  They can easily relate to it.

(2)  The pieces are simple and just enough for the kids to work on.  The pieces are easily identifiable like legs, hands, tummy, chest and head.   (3) It is made of wood and sturdy!

And lastly, there’s a guide in the lower left of the puzzle for the order of the layers.  This allows the child to work on the layers step by step without being confused which body system comes first and last.

I highly recommend this learning material! If this is available in Amazon or in any shop in your area, I suggest that you get it right away as this piece of puzzle is hard to find.  This wonderful material would make a perfect birthday or Christmas gift for kids as well!  I have been checking my Amazon daily for a sale and the hard work paid off!  This is something that I can keep forever!

Now, this comes with a girl version and a mother too! (Click the image for the link!)
