World History: Ancient Times Learning Materials
Friday, May 24, 2019
I'm so excited to share with you our Ancient History Learning Pack. I made this product 4 years ago but I didn't really have the time to explain how to use this or how we are using this at home. Let me say that I finally updated the product and there are now 2 sets available to cater to the needs of other Montessori families and schools. This post is not a tutorial but it will explain each set in the learning pack, how we use each them and how you may benefit from them.
Introducing the 6 Kingdoms of Life
Friday, May 17, 2019
Months ago, after watching an episode of Brainchild on Netflix, the boys got super interested with knowing more about bacteria. They have so many questions about the biodiversity of life such as, if a bacteria is an animal or a plant? is it an alien species? The curiosity and eagerness to learn led me to introduce the Six Kingdoms of Life.
I know, this is elementary work, but I managed to pull-out activities that worked perfectly for both boys (10 and 5 years old).

Montessori Inspired Europe Continent Study for Kids Part I
Thursday, May 16, 2019
With our recent trip to Spain, I decided to do a brief Europe Unit for Vito while he still can't stop talking about his plane ride and how fun it was to go to places. The activity trays I prepared for him are designed for kids 5 years and older. This is the first part of our unit and most of these are introductory lessons to maps and flags. I've never had a Europe Unit with him before so I kept this simple and we'll be doing more in-depth activities as he progresses.

Life Cycle of a Frog Learning Activities
Friday, March 29, 2019
Nothing beats hands-on learning, but because we have no access to tadpoles and frogs, we just rely on books, educational toys and create meaningful materials to achieve the "hands-on experience". With the success of our Water Cycle activities, I made a similar learning pack for our frog life cycle. The learning pack is perfect for kids ages 4 to 7 years old, something that will grow with your child through the years. It contains different activities for different stages of learning for the child. All you needed to do is print the one that suits your needs.
Parts of a Frog Learning Materials for Kids
Friday, March 22, 2019
We are learning about frogs and we started our unit by learning about the body parts because Vito wanted to know if they are similar to his (to humans). Again, our Parts of a Frog Learning (ZOOLOGY BUNDLE Pack) came in handy in exploring the body parts of a frog and the activity sheets I included in the pack were really helpful in extending the learning activity for enhancing the retention of concepts.
If you are a homeschooler or a teacher looking for learning materials about frogs, then continue reading this post to learn more about this learning material and the activities that we worked on. The cards are simple and clear and are easy for young learners to use. The activity sheets are provided as I have observed through the years that these materials for tracing, coloring, and making booklets are effective in engaging young learners.

Montessori Inspired Blue Series - Learning about Consonant Blends
Wednesday, March 13, 2019
With Vito reading CVC words and sight words, we are now moving to the Blue Series. The Blue Series is a Montessori approach in learning consonant blends and digraphs. I made an entire set of blue series materials for Vito to use in the course of his learning. We will work on these materials and move on to the next set as he progresses. In this post, I will give you an overview of the materials and how we are going to use them.
It is important to note that the blue series (blends and digraphs) comes after the pink series. Once the child is familiar with letter sounds and can basically read CVC words (pink series) then he/she can move on to the blue series.
Introducing Life Cycles to Younger Kids
Tuesday, February 26, 2019
In our home, springtime brings a renewed focus on the topic of life cycles. As a parent, I am often asked how to introduce the concept of metamorphosis, larva, pupa and more to young children who may not be able to visualize these processes. It is a fascinating subject that is easy to understand. I begin by telling engaging stories that help children understand that just like humans, baby animals come from their mothers and fathers. Some animals start their life as eggs and then undergo a gradual transformation that ultimately leads to adulthood.
To help explain these concepts more effectively, we use a variety of learning materials that bring these life cycles to life for children. As we follow the "Montessori" philosophy in our homeschool, we prefer to use hands-on learning experiences that allow children to explore and learn in a natural way. Whether it's using specialized learning materials or observing real-life examples in nature, we strive to make learning about life cycles as engaging and interactive as possible.

Asia Continent Study for Kids
Monday, February 11, 2019
We love to travel and going to places, thus geography is very important in our homeschool and I make sure that we do continent and country studies yearly. Now, this is not the first time I introduced Vito to Asia. We've worked with a lot of continent activities before and because he is much older now and able to understand and grasp concepts, I reintroduced Asia once again. Below are some of the works we had for the past 2 weeks we spent on learning about Asia. It took us 2 weeks to finish because he got sick within the time frame so we paused in between.
Here are some of the activities that we included in this year's Asia Study:
Valentine's Day Letter and Number Cards
Friday, February 8, 2019
What I like about homeschooling is being able to make themed materials for my kids that will go along with certain seasons or holidays. Because Valentine's Day is just around the corner, I made these beautiful and cute teddy and heart letter and number cards perfect for home and school settings. We use these types of learning cards in so many ways, and I have listed a few of those activities below for your reference. Enjoy!
Valentines Day Spin and Build Building Blocks
Thursday, February 7, 2019
We love our building blocks printables! They're so engaging that even my eldest is playing along with us. I mean, who doesn't like these LEGO blocks or bricks? We have collected a bunch of LEGOs and other LEGO compatible blocks through the years and they have come into full use once again. And Vito is totally into it.
