Are you observing St. Patrick’s Day? We do! It’s usually one of the most colorful time in Ireland, where everyone is just so happy and festive. Anyway, with all the green and rainbow decors around, I’m preparing Montessori working trays for Vito as we approach the celebration of St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. Mavi will be doing a lot of work for St. Patrick’s in his school so I spared him from this. My aim here is to introduce Vito to the symbols of the celebration and he’ll be exploring these in our activities.

Mavi wanted to practice more of reading the time, especially when it comes to reading and writing “quarter to” and “half past”. He seems to be confused with the positioning of the small hand. So with this, I made a few activities for him to work afterschool. I am sharing these activities as well as the printables were are using (yes it’s free!).

Hi everyone! I’m often asked in my Instagram account on where I get our printed learning materials for learning letters (letter recognition and pre-writing) so I’m going to share with you the links of my sources here as it’s difficult to do that in IG.

I recently purchased a few science books for the boys which I bought from Book Depository. Mavi loves science and I am so happy that the books are child-friendly and can be read independently by older kids. I love investing in books because my boys love to read and it can be used over and over all through the years. Great heirlooms for family too!
Anyway, the first book he read was the Clouds. This is by far the best book I’ve encountered that illustrated the different types of clouds in a simplest way, and the explanations are so simple and easy to grasp. So after reading the book, we sat down the next day and worked on some hands-on activities for retention.
